Good Morning
Good morning, I wanted to update everyone that we have updated the online calendar. Our Fall Campout event had to have a date change due to campgrounds closing sooner than anticipated. Also, a few pack events after January 2017 were also added to the calendar as well. Check out the information! If you are interested in the links they are here for your phones, tablets, etc for the Pack Calendar. You can also search for the Pack calendar with a google account...and it is called Pack 214 Events Details Paper copies will also be distributed on Tuesday. See everyone on Tuesday at the Pack Meeting at Prairie Ridge...beginning promptly at 7:00.

Swisher Fun Days Parade
Good Afternoon! I hope this email finds you enjoying your summer! It is August 2nd which means school registration is near, open house is coming up and soon school will begin! We will be participating in the Swisher Fun Days parade on Saturday, August 6th! We will need some akelas to walk with us in the parade along with the scouts. We ask all scouts who are able to participate in the parade to be in their class A uniform. We will be handing out candy, flyers about Pack 214, and carrying our flags. All scouts that are in uniform will have the opportunity to carry the flag. We ask you to meet us at the staging area which starting on Swisher View Drive by the Post Office. We will already be in our parade route spot. Kai and Jeremy will be in their Class A uniforms. The parade begins at 10:00 AM, so we ask for scouts to begin arriving between 9:30-9:45. Any akelas unable to walk with us, we ask that you meet your scout at the end of the parade route. (At this time, we don't know where that is at, but will let you know on Saturday!) All scouts that participate in this event will receive their parade segment if they haven't already done so. This is a great opportunity for scouts to do their civic doing of walking in a parade representing our pack as well as promoting Pack 214. Feel free to contact Kai at 515-867-9484 Jeremy at 319-929-9017 or myself (Ann) at 319-929-9016 if you can not locate us on Saturday. We look forward to seeing you at the Swisher Fun Days Parade! |

Parent meeting
Good afternoon, We will be having our January parent meeting this Tuesday, January 12th. We will begin at 7:00 PM. We will meet at Prairie Ridge in the Cafeteria. |
Scout Day at the Play Station
Please read the announcement about this opportunity at the Play Station. Any additional questions can be forwarded to the Play Station by contacting them at This is a council event, and not a Pack 214 event, therefore, you would be responsible for the cost listed below. I would assume that the other cost would be the typical admission of $8.50 a person. The Play Station would like to invited all of the Boy Scouts to our scout day on Sunday, January 10th, 2016 from 11am to 6pm! The scouts are able to get a special rate of $4.00 for the admission to get into the Play Station. All they need to do is show a badge or wear their scout vest! (319) 373-1111. Thanks!
