Good Morning, We will be participating in the Fairfax parade on Saturday, June 24th! We will need some akelas to walk with us in the parade
along with the scouts. We ask all scouts who are able to participate in the parade to be in their class A
uniform. We will be handing out candy, flyers about Pack 214, and
carrying our flags. All scouts that are in uniform will have the
opportunity to carry the flag. We ask you to meet us at the
staging area which is near the Fairfax Sports Complex on
Lefebure Road. We will already be in our parade route spot. Jeremy
will be in his leader uniform. We ask for
scouts to begin arriving between 11:00-11:15. The parade
does not begin until 11:30 and will go until about 1:00. Any akelas
unable to walk with us, we ask that you meet your scout at the end of
the parade route at the corner of Vanderbilt Street and Railroad Street
(near the Grain Elevator). All scouts that participate in this event
will receive their parade segment if they haven't already done so. This
is a great opportunity for scouts to do their civic doing of walking in
a parade representing our pack as well as promoting Pack 214. The parade route begins near there and goes into Fairfax on Church Street. Feel free to contact Jeremy at 319-929-9017 or myself (Ann) at 319-929-9016 if you can not locate us on Saturday. We look forward to seeing you at the Fairfax parade! Sincerely, Ann Smith Pack 214 Committee Chairperson |
