Welcome
to the Wolf Den

Our Goals
A year-round family, home, and community centered program that encourages ethical decision-making skills.

Overview
To become a Wolf Cub Scout, a boy must be either eight years of age or have completed the first grade.

After your Cub Scout earns his Bobcat badge, he may then start along the trail to Wolf. The trail consists of 12 achievements, which are called tracks, that he must complete. He should do his best to complete each track, which is part of the promise he made towards becoming a Bobcat and is the Cub Scout Motto - Do Your Best.

Once your Cub Scout has completed the twelve tracks he will receive his Wolf badge. These are awarded at the monthly Pack Meeting.

During his time as a Wolf, your scout may also work on a wide array of Belt Loops and pins, which are broken down into the categories of Academics and Sports. These are also awarded at the monthly Pack Meeting. View the BSA Academic and Sport Program.

Summary
The boys will learn more about staying healthy, knowing their home and community, tools for fixing and building, cooking healthy, being safe, making good choices, and much more.

Arrow Point Trail
While on the trail to achieving the Wolf Badge, your Cub Scout can also search the Arrow Point Trail. This trail is based on what are known as electives, which allow the Cub Scout along with their adult partner, known as the AKELA, to choose which ones and when they are completed. These electives are from a broad field of choices ranging from sports, history, singing, and many other areas, with over 100 different electives to choose from. For the first ten electives completed, your Cub Scout will receive a Gold Arrow Point, and for every set of ten completed thereafter, he will receive a Silver Arrow Point. These Arrow Points are awarded during the monthly Pack Meeting, but may only be worn after he has earned the rank of Wolf.

  • Good Morning
    Good morning,
I wanted to update everyone that we have updated the online calendar.  Our Fall Campout event had to have a date change due to campgrounds closing sooner than anticipated.  Also, a few pack events after January 2017 were also added to the calendar as well.

    Check out the information!
If you are interested in the links they are here for your phones, tablets, etc for the Pack Calendar.
You can also search for the Pack calendar with a google account...and it is called Pack 214 Events Details

Paper copies will also be distributed on Tuesday.

See everyone on Tuesday at the Pack Meeting at Prairie Ridge...beginning promptly at 7:00.

  • Meskwaki Pow Wow...Please read
    Good afternoon,
We have learned the Meskwaki Pow Wow for the rest of the weekend has been CANCELLED.  There has been a death in the tribe and for this reason, they have cancelled the event.

We will try and go again next year.

We are going to give our entire Pack credit for this event.  Therefore, if your scout had attended at least 2 other council and/or pack events, then your scout will more than likely earn their summer pin.

Please keep the tribe in your thoughts during this challenging time for them.

    Sincerely,

    Ann Smith

  • Meskwaki Pow Wow
    Hello everyone,
We have our last summer Pack event on Sunday, August 14th.  We hope you are able to come to this fun event.  It is the Meskawki PowWow.
We are planning on being there for the first dance which begins at 1:00 PM.
The cost for this event is $7.00 for each adult and $5.00 for each child.  Children under 5 are free.

More information can be found here:  http://meskwakipowwow.com/index.html

The easiest way is to come down hwy 30, either direction, and turn south at the Meskwaki Casino exit, turn left(east) and go up the hill until the first stop sign, turn right and go down the hill on the dirt road, past the tribal center and continue down the dirt road until you reach a "T" in the road with the railroad crossing on the right, cross the railroad tracks and continue down to the powwow grounds on the right where the entrance is placed. Once you are on the Meskwaki Settlement there will be colorful signs pointing to the powwow grounds at every entrance to the Settlement.

I ask that anyone to come to the PowWow to let me know you attended if we don't see you there due to large crowds so that I document correctly on our Summer Pack Event.

Please let me know any additional questions.  Feel free to contact me at 319-929-9016.

    Thanks so much!

    Sincerely,

    Ann Smith

  • Scout Day at the Play Station
Please read the announcement about this opportunity at the Play Station.

This is a council event, and not a Pack 214 event, therefore, you would be responsible for the cost listed below.  I would assume that the other cost would be the typical admission of $8.50 a person.

The Play Station would like to invited all of the Boy Scouts to our scout day on Sunday, January 10th, 2016 from 11am to 6pm! The scouts are able to get a special rate of $4.00 for the admission to get into the Play Station. All they need to do is show a badge or wear their scout vest!

Any additional questions can be forwarded to the Play Station by contacting them at
    (319) 373-1111.

    Thanks!
